Rae, it's NOT that unusual for a woman, even a YOUNG woman to skip a period once in a while or have a late period. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens the NEXT time that your period is due. If you ARE worried, then I'd suggest going to see your OB/GYN and having an examination done. As has been mentioned already, if you have undergone a lot of stress lately, that CAN mess up your period as well. I wish you the BEST of luck no matter how things turn out for you. *hugs*

I'm not quite sure what to tell you about the blood clot, because I experienced the same thing, and now am currently 6 weeks pregnant, but every women, every body, and every pregnancy is different. I would go to a drugstore as soon as you can and get a test, or go to a local health clinic and get one done for cheap.

Good luck.

*P.S. I liked Jon D's answer...*

You might be... & you might have a tubal pregnancy. Have you taken a pregnancy test yet?
if you get no more blood... then take a test... & if still unsure see you OBGYN, if you have one... if not get to nearest pregancy clinic. I may not be a baby... but maybe a cyst.
I had a similar problem... & after years of pain, we found out it was syst... bigger than my ovary. So, it something you do NOT want to mess around with.
Best way to tell if pregnant, is buying a test.
If you're hoping for one... GOOD LUCK!!! :)
My prayers are with you :)

For the love of Pete, before you go on Y! answers, go down to the local drug store or Walmart and pick up a test for pity's sake. If you're period is already late then you should get a positive if you are indeed preggers. Good luck, LOL.

take a hpt.I've never heard of this actually-just a blood clot w/out blood. When was your period due? Are you having any other symptoms? give some more details...

ewww....why not just buy yourself a prego test and see if you are or not. You probably aren't, but then again you didn't tell us who you slept with and when. If you don't know about your periods then you should not be sleeping with anyone, therefore you would not be stressed out wanting to know if you're pregnant.
