I came to u.s in 2000. now i think & know this is my motherland....cause im the adopted kid. now politicians r ******* everything up & i m sad...very sad. how u think ?

I think American politicians make all Americans sad. They are just pathetic but we have no other choice.

I'm glad you think of the US as you motherland and I welcome you. I think the economy of 2000 and 2007 are very different. In 2000 the economy was coming off a decade of dot com growth. Now in 2007 we have an economic base that has been destroyed by outsourcing and imports from China. In 2000 our stock market was reaching up to 12000. After 9/11 it fell and took 6 years to recover. I do not think of this as progress.

Im not sure what you are talking about, the economy took a dip after 9/11 but since then the economy has seen record numbers. So ya, hopefully nothing causes out economy to make a u-turn its doing great.
