what is the best thing I can do?
its not at me or anything, I just want to help.

The best thing to do is to show your friend support that your going to be there no matter what.

That's a tough one, You can help by being there, but a real breakdown needs some professional help. How about the family? Are they around to help too? They can do things that you as a friend really can't. Hang in there and listen, but you may not be able to help as much as you want to.

Well, if your friend is not open to counseling (or able) maybe you could suggest that he/she write down their feelings in a journal. Or maybe you could help them practice expressing their feelings sooner, rather than later. For example, when you catch a situation that could get bad, help him/her step back and break it down piece by piece. Another option is maybe to help your pal release the anger in a more appropriate way such as beating up a pillow, or on a video game.
Hope this helps!

Best thing to do is just take some time aside and try to relax your mind . maybe go do something that you enjoy wether it be bowling or playing foot ball exc.... what ever it is that you enjoy doing in your free time. i get like that to dont want to be around anyone so when i feel like that i just take a walk or go out to see a movie or something of that sort. just make sure you always take time out for yourself to releive stress so that this problem doesnt happen again. gl.
