He wouldn't be alone. He'd have his loyal "minions". You've got to understand that this isn't a wipe out mankind kinda deal. It's a "purify" the (wizarding) world thing by getting rid of all those who have muggle blood.
But, honestly, isn't almost all violence stupid?

Aaaand... I think Voldemort is this idea of selfishness, it is kind of the point of the whole series, no?
How everyone (good) sacrifices for everyone else (even the "bad" ones offer their lifes for the meaning that V. gives them) and everyone bad is just about himself...
That is the interesting part of HP 6... he leaves everyone that loves him... the whole reason for HP5 is to show him he NEEDS everyone else, not alone, not great oh mighty HP, but part of a group...
So, the methaphor works in fiction, in real life... V. just wants pure bloods, to make Magic only for the ones that "deserve" it, no halfbloods...
V. wants to make everything better for the "real" wizards and witches...

He are talking Harry potter are we not. It had to end somehow. After so many books there had to be an ultimate evil villain who would have to be killed. This is a reflection of the author.

I KNOW thats exactly what i was thinking!! i mean why does he want to rule the world anyway and kill everyone?! there will be no one left except maybe his Death Eaters. its stupid if its all just for power or to feel superior and in control of everything. so what there will be nobody left to be "impressed" with his work.

It is stupid. I hear ya. I'm just focused on my STUPID summer assignment due during the SUMMER Sunday... *sighs* Honestly, I think there'll be a twist. Maybe she'll change the prophecy from, "Neither can live while the other survives" to they'll both live. Oh mannnn.

No, I completely disagree. Basically every villian in any piece of fiction (book, movie, etc) has a take-over-the-world-kill-anybody-that-isn't-needed mentality. It's not like he'd be by himself. He doesn't kill everyone, just most people. Plus, he has his Death Eaters.

If he kills everyone, you would be dead too. And I don't think he'd kill everyone, just take over the world and terrorize everyone. And he probably just wants to live forever.

He doesn't want to kill everyone. What he basically wants to do is eliminate anyone who gets in his way en route to being a supreme ruler. I know , I thought about that too. I really don't believe that's his goal, you know, to kill everyone.......and dance.
