Honey, it sounds like they were never a true friend, some people act like they like us, or act like they need something, and sometimes people are just assholes. You are wonderful! Any person who would make a bet on you truely is not your friend and never has been. Think about it this way please, this is an awful way to lose someone you thought was your friend but they only get your dignity for a moment. This person will eventually realize that someone fantastic is not in their life anymore. They are losing out. You now know for a relatively cheap price that this person is toxic and not what you need. Friends are supposed to lift you up spiritually, not hurt, use and deceive. If necessary, ask this person, why they felt compelled to "bet" on you. They must be very dull and miserable themself, to give you power over their time. What lesson did you learn. That is the greatest lesson and gift this person can give you. Next, forgive and walkaway.

Become careful about who you select for a friend. Maybe this 'friend' knows you too well and can just about predict what actions you are going to take and when. Just tell the friend how you were hurt by her/his betting on what you are going to do. If the person is really your friend, they will understand and be more careful what they say next time.

So he did it was her First time she thought he really liked her. well one day her bf told her that it was just a bet. She was very upset and hurt by her friend and the boy. It was DEC.26st 2007
when she found out. At 9:30 that night her parents found her dead in her room hanging in her closet. So find your self some know Friends honey don't let it get to that point.

Think about the seriousness of it, about the bet, weigh your pros and cons. Friends don't bet on friends in a hurt full way, I think it's time for a new friend, that values what you 2 have.

I would say that is dead wrong of how you did me. friends doesn't hurt friend in that way. That how you thought of me, to place a bet on me for your fun doing. I would tell the person, I was a dear friend of yours, but you lost me as a friend because of a bet.

I would confront my friend and ask him/her why they did it. We would have to have a serious conversation about everything and get to the bottom of it. I would also have some trouble trusting that friend after that, but if it was a long time/close friend I would be more willing to just forgive and move on (after the talk).

It depends on what the bet was...if it was, "I'll bet she says she's busy tonight", then it's no big deal. If they set you up for their betting pleasure, then it's time to find new friends, because what you have now are "users", not friends.
