Is this statement true? If not, what should the words "mutually exclusive" be changed to to make it a true statement?

"The various values of a random variable form a list of MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE events."

Yes, this is a homework question but I cannot figure it out. Your help is appreciated. Thanks

It should be mutually EXHAUSTIVE. That means together they cover every possibility there is and all the probabilities sum to one.

It looks OK to me. The mutually exclusive bit means that one event does not influence the outcome of any subsequent event.
