I always used to want to name my child Scarlett ever since I was a kid because it was unique and beautiful, but now I feel that the name has really become popular and I dont want my child to be one of four scarletts in her class:-( help!

its not very commen but older names are coming back in style. i think its beautiful and i don't think she will be one of a bunch!

i don't know anyone named Scarlett... the only person that comes to mind is Scarlett Johansson... But i LOVE that name... i agree i think its very beautiful... You should go with it... if you have had that name picked out for so long then Do it..screw everyone else

The only Scarlett I know is a horrible and mean person. I really don't care for her selfish self very much. She's 20. If you really like it, go for it. It's a beautiful name. If you're concerned with how common it is, check out the Social Security Administration(website below) they can tell you exactly how many children were born in the US with that name.

I have a cousin named Scarlett and other than her Ive never heard of any one else besides the actress! I say go for it it's not very common.

It is popular. There are 2 little girls (age 1 - 2) in my son's play group. It's a cute name but not so unique at this point.
