Has anyone else experienced lasting personality changes after the birth of a baby? I had my son 14 months ago and personality changes that occurred during my pregnancy are still the same. I'm suddenly a neat freak (2 years ago I never even made my bed....now I can't stand the thought of a dirty fork), and my sex drive changed. This has nothing to do with lifestyle changes either. It changed early in my pregnancy and even when my husband and I were on vacation for a week last march (our son was at grandma's and I had no reason to keep our hotel room spotless and I was very well rested) I was the same. Anyone else have this happen?

I guess the biggest lasting change for me is that I used to be a really heavy sleeper. And example of that is I could fall out of the top bunk and fall on a concrete floor and never wake up(had bunks in college and I had the top one) Now just a cough from my kids room will wake me and I go check on them.

I had our son in 2003 and I changed the minut our son was born . before I like to stay up late playing games and hanging with friends. I didnot care if things were clean or dirty and I was lazy had no care in the world. After I worryed about everything became a neatfrek and didnot care for sex much after that. I used to have a very attive sex drive but know not as much . It a little bit more attive but only becuse trying for another pregency.

Absolutely! With my daughter I finally started to stand up for myself and 16 yrs later I still do. With my son who is now 2 3/4 I became incredibly sensitive. I still am but at least I can stick up for myself.

I also never ate chocolate or spicy food before my daughter and hated coffee and beef before my son. Now I love it all. It is amazing how this miracle does change who you are but boy are they worth it.

I would love a third but wonder what would happen to me then.

I've became a neatfreak too...I wouldn't say its a personality change...I would call it growing up and being an adult.
