Is it better to have loved and lost, or then to have never loved at all?

It absolutely is. We know that we are alive as we love and open ourselves up to another person. The more we love, the more capacity we have to love.
Even if love is only a temporary thing, meaning that maybe it doesn't work out for whatever reason, at least the experience of loving opens my heart and soul. I will never be the same again and I am better because of it.
