I entered into a chili cook-off. I met my husband through my employee (his daughter). He had a propane burner on a tri-pod and kept the flame (to cook the chili) going for me...I guess in more ways than one! He asked his daughter if I might be interested in going out with him. I didn't place in the cookoff, but I met my husband of 17 years. What is your story?

we had actually lived in the same places throughout our lives (ie the same apartments etc..) and never knew each other. we met in iraq, and were inseperable from the moment we met. he was the only man that has ever swept me off my feet, and still does. he told me after we had been together for awhile, that he used to see me all the time and wished that i was his wife :)

my best friend was dating his roommate. She met them while she was living at the beach for the summer, and began dating one of the guy's (as it turn out, they went to college not far from the one we went to). Anyway, she asked me and another friend to go with her to a Labor Day party they were having... so we went, and that is how I met my husband!!! It started kind of slow at first. I wasn't too sure how I felt, but he was persistent and eventually won me over... I just think that good things really do come to those who wait! My friend and the guy are no longer together, but they were both in the wedding!

At the time I met my current wife Kim, I was married. Happily at that time. Kim had just married my (at that time) stepbrother. Fast forward about 5 years. After both divorces were finalized, we were at moms for christmas, went out for new years, got really drunk and ended up staying with each other. Now we are having our 5th boy (2 are mine, 2 are hers, and 1 is ours) 2 days before our 1st anniversary.

He answered my online personals ad, and I went out with him, at first, because he was the only one who answered it who could string more than four words together without sounding like an idiot. After that, I think it was because he was such a good salesman. We got married two months after meeting in person. We've been married 8 years, and I haven't killed him yet, so I guess we're ok!

He went over to see a friend of mine as a blind date. She was not intrested at all. He said it was love at first sight for him when he saw me. He and I had more in common. I felt bad about my friend. But there was no connection between them. He saw me without make up and in plain t shirt with warm ups on. He saw the real me.
