Give me a break, they warn that they are going to spend the night if they have to to make their opinions known....These politicians are then given lay away beds, give me a break, if they want to TALK Big, they shouldn't be allowed to SLEEP at all, what's the point??????

It is rather scary that these incompetents are running the Country? Who do they think they are impressing or winning over with this ridiculous maneuver? For shame. They need I.Q. tests before tearing down the Country any further.

I just hope after Mark Foley and David Vitters, we don't find two to a bed. I understand that no one wants to share a bed with Barney Frank. Hillary will do anything not to share a bed with Bill. We all hope the Robert Byrd does not die in his sleep, at the PJ party, after all is over 90 years old. Ted Kennedy wants to know if it's okay to bring a bottle and a friend.
PS I know that Frank and Foley are not in the Senate, but they fit into my answer better than Reid or others

Well, I say let's encourage that behavior.
Every senator and congressman must put a mandatory 2880 hours ON THE FLOOR of the senate or congress every year.
Have them earn their living. Put performance benchmarks, a minimum of X number of bills must be passed by the congress. The budget must be cut by X amount or their salaries are forfeit or some other perk lost which would prove painful if removed.
As a citizen I feel they've done quite enough to line their own pockets, and it's worth noting that we're the boss of them so that's what we should demand of them.
