Its kinda a weird question. Most of the deaths now are caused by the terrorists from Iran and Syria. Saddam was killing his own people women and children alike. The only reason the (terrorists) are killing so many people now, its because their trying to scare freedom loving people. And its working here in the U.S. I had no idea their where so many jelly fish here, but their are. If people weren't asking questions like this, this War would have been over a long time ago.

Well since you seem to blame every death that occurs in the area on Bush regardless of how it happened, then treating Saddam in like manner no not even close.

sure. first of all, the iraqi government is not, "under" bush. when you consider the number of kurds killed under saddam and the number of iraqis killed in the war with iran, (there were over 1 mill killed in that war), the number of iraqis killed in this war is nowhere close.

i'm not saying iraqi deaths in this war should be trivialized or arent significant, but the number of iraqis killed under saddam was exponentially greater, 100 to 1000 to 10000X over.

and lets not forget the number of iraqis killed under george the first when we defended kuwait. those iraqi deaths are on saddams hands too!

Difficult to say.

I liken it to the body counts under Hitler, or more recently, Pinochet, or any one of countless dictators, even the Khmer Rouge.

We may never know the official stats from any of these.

Here's a thought though. It isn't the Iraqi government killing citizens any more. It's a bunch of lawless theocratic thugs. Big difference.

Don’t know.
You would need accurate records of people killed by the Saddam government.
Also depends on how you count. Are you counting total people killing people, or are you counting government people (Saddam’s officials, US troops) killing people, or are you only counting offensive action (ie: killing in self defense does not count)?

Well under Sadam they had no choice about dying. This time around they have a choice and they choose to resist the biggest super-power on the globe. -- How foolish
