is the goverment hiding us from an alien encounter that happened?

There was supposedly an alien space craft the crashed on a ranch outside of Roswell NM. According to accounts two of the aliens lived long enough to be transported to Area 51 and somewhere in Illinos and later died. There has never been any solid evidence one way or the other. Many people do believe that the government hid and is still hiding what happened. This is my way of answering. Hope it helps.

Official:
Area 51: A secret part of the air force area in Nevada where the gov tests new planes. While it is a top-secret area, it is EASILY seen on google earth and similiar programs. It is centered around Groom Lake, and while the gov officialy denies its existence, on these maps, you can clearly see a landing field and other buildings. If you approach this area in person, you will be asked to leave at gunpoint, and possibly fines.
Roswell: A town in New Mexico, that gets a lot of money from tourism.
Reality: Area 51 - While this area is in conspiracy theories, its presence has cause most of these theories since it is meant to be a gov secrect. However, many test aircraft are launched from this area, leading to UFO theories, since the craft have never been seen before. But once this is accepted, there are no other alien connections.
Roswell: Who knows. While the original reports talk about the gov admitting to recovering alien bodies and spacecraft, the official release after the fact was that it was a weather balloon. While the details beg the conspiracy question, we may never know in our lifetimes.
My rational mind tells me that it is not true, how could the gov keep this kind of secrect for 50+ years, when they can barely keep a gay senator a secrect? But another part of me thinks that this is a bigger story than we know.

The government is hiding the development of secret military aircraft at area 51. It doesn't bother them at all that people think they are hiding aliens, because that means they have successfully kept the secret military aircraft secret.
The government is not hiding an alien crash in Roswell, because no aliens crashed there, or anywhere else.

area 51 is for the government to make new air crafts... but the reason why they keep us away because they don't want us to steal there ideas. but really, that's what some people think but I believe it too but I think there also hiding alians. Never heard of the rosswell crash sorry...

They are hiding an encounter that never happened. And nothing is hidden because everyone knows about it and many books have been wqritten about it.Area 51 is an off-limits military base in Nevada.The Rods=

Ever been to Roswell? Alien hoopla is already massive business enterprise there. As for area fifty one, it particularly is totally distant and, of course, remains a (style of) secret militia base. the closest city is Rachel, Nevada and a few human beings there capitilize on the hoopla...in spite of the undeniable fact that it particularly is quite basically the die-hard alien-hunters and government-conspiracy persons who make the long journey. I believe the government does hide things from us because they want us to be ignorant of the fact that we are not the only ones out here in the universe. Well maybe it is not a fact but it would be very close minded of us as in the world to think that we are the only ones out here. But yes if you have watched the Science channel and read on the internet than you will see for yourself that They want us to be ignorant and not know. Maybe they are doing this because they want to use the spaceships for their selves for hidden war tactics that we do not know about.
