I have had my first fry of delmation (or marble) mollies. I have put then in there own tank for protection from other fish (although i have put a ghost shrimp in there to wein out the population some, I hope). But what should I know or expect from this as thing is my first fry. Can I just sell them off to a local fish store for some quarters or would I be better off letting some friends have them to start a tank? and info is well received

I give 1/4 tank price in store credit for locally bred fish in most cases. The exceptions are fish that are hard to find in wholesale outlets or are quite expensive. As a shop owner, I would prefer if someone in your position called me and asked when would be a good time to bring a few by for me to see before I committed to buying any at all. In other words, offer to show the quality of your fish before asking if the shop wants them or will pay for them. Continue to raise them, but cull out any deformed fish or stunted fish. Then raise them to around the size you see in shops before trying to sell them. If they are really small, a shop will most likely only take them as feeders.

As others have said, don't expect much for them and don;t expect it to be an easy sale. I have people offer me, guppies, platys, mollies etc. on nearly a daily basis. If I took them all I would be covered in them in no time at all.

Like the previous post said, call around first. Check with small mom and pop type pet stores, the larger chains won't take them-they only get their fish from "their" people. Mollies and other livebearers are prolific breeders, so it's not hard to come by them. You might find a shop that will take them-they may or may not pay you. Most places give a store credit, and don't expect very much since they're so easy to get. I gave a bunch to a friend of mine years ago for his tank.

I've had a lot of luck and more interest than fish available when I sold my guppies in local classifieds sites. Try kijiji or craigslist. You can get a better price and happier customers.

most stores would not accept your fish, i've tried it before. Try to find a willing fish keeper or put them in a lake, river, stream or canal as they would live well, or even better there, being much more space.

well you would have to call the store and see if they will but most pet stores will take them off you. but i am not sure for how much.
ya if you do have anyone who wants them selling them to them or give them away to people or friends.
anything works or do half and half
