This was todays game.....

Ok i havent really been a long time baseball fan so u guys/girls are gunna have to clear things up for me. How did the Yankees score at the bottom 9th without even getting a base hit?? Which tie the game up?? It was when Jeter was at the plate and Accardo was pitching, then all of a sudden Yankees tie the ball game at 2??

Accardo balked with a man on third, so the run scored while Jeter was at the plate. Accardo started his motion, then stepped off the rubber. The balk was called immediately, and Jeter had even noticed it right away, pointing at the pitcher the second it happened.

and just so you know, a balk is when a pitcher breaks a rule while on the mound. there are all kinds of rules about how a pitcher must do things prior to pitch. for a better explanation, put balk baseball pitching rules, in your browser and read all about it.
