Is it the right time of year to give the garden a good prune.I live in Sydney Australia so it is the middle of winter and we have just had an extreme cold spell with frost which is very rare here.

The main plants I have to prune are:
>Plumbago >Pelargonium
>Japanese Spindle Tree
>Lantana >Rose vine and Climbing Rose
>Rose Bush >Viburnum
>Bougainvillea >Leyland Cypress
>Murraya >Potato Vine
>Camelia >Jasmine

I am from Sydney, and it is time now to cut down your plants, on't be afraid to cut them down, it will not hurt them and they will grow better than before in a couple of months. If you are worried, get hold of Better Homes and Gardens site and ask the question

cheers

Roll out the red carpet for Semper these past few days.He is on a rolllllllllll. Not only did he pay tribute to everyone, but now a bit of humour. What can he not do?I think nothing.I had a chuckle with this one. Thanks Semper I think we all need recognition and more humour in our lives.

It's probably best to prune while the sap is flowing the least. Like now,
