I just bought a GSXR 750 and my friend has a CBR1000RR. I want to blow him away when we race. Can this be done? What performance parts can I get that will make my bike go faster? Approx how fast can I go with all the parts on?

There are a few differest ways-but the cheapest is selling your bike and buying a gsxr 1000 (first off). First you can sprocket down a tooth ($125). This will give you faster acceleration-but you will lose a little top end and make your bike more wheelie prone. Second is nitrous ($500-1000) you can hide the bottle under you seat and hide the button. Third you can turbo it ($2000-3000). Good luck-remeber to vote for a best answer.

Well, good luck. You should have bought a 1000. The 1000RR is one bad bike, and your GSXR comes engineered for maximum performance. I've been drag racing bikes for a while, and if you are serious about beating him, you are going to need some serious racing parts. First, I'd start with an air shifter and ignition module for ultra-fast shifts and quick launches. You probably want to get a longer swing arm, to launch even harder. With those parts, you'll be launching like a pro. Next, you need to add some power. There are some options here, of course start with a good race exhaust and low-restriction air filter. You need a big cam and some head work. I donno if all that will do it, we're already talking a couple grand once its tuned up. Like I said, you shoulda bought a 1000 if you want to race 1000's.

If you just bought a 750, you've got no business trying to boost it.
Trying to beat out a 1000 cc.s with 750 cc.s is not damn likely. Thats a 4 to 3 ratio in power, and they're both sporting bikes.
If you push him hard enough in the twisties he's likely to crash, ........unless you do first.

If you want to be king of the street racers, dump the 750 and get yourself a Hayabusa.
