To check your cervix--wash hands, find a comfortable position-but be sure to use the same position every time, insert 1 or 2 fingers and feel for the cervix. During ovulation it will be high at the top of the vagina, soft like your lips, and wet, or SHOW--soft high open wet. Other times of the month it will be low in your vagina, firm like the end of your nose, and very little or no mucus. During early pregnancy the cervix rises and softens. It can take several cycles to distinguish cervical changes as they can be very subtle.

You can feel by placing your finger in your vagina. The cervix goes through changes as it allows an egg to be passed through. Usually it is closed and wont allow the sperm to come any further in. An easier way to find out if you are about to ovulate is to look at the mucus. It is clear and stretchy at the time you can fall pregnant.

Your cervix is the entrance (opening) between the vagina and the uterus. It stretches for birth. Sometimes the position of the uterus and therefore the cervix may shift but they are attached and if one moves, the other goes with it.
