Well, a dead bird typically means a bad omen. But then again, some say that blackbirds are bad omens, so that could make the two cancel out and be a good thing... (I doubt it though) In my opinion, dead bird=not good.

Also, it is best to report dead birds to authorities, especially corbies (crows, ravens, etc.), as they may have died from West Nile Virus or Avian Flu. You may see official signs or posters saying this; these diseases can cause an epidemic as they can be spread to humans (not that anyone /cares/ what happens to the poor /birds/... sorry, had to get that out. I <3 birds).

at first glance your question seems considerably flawed, but i cannot come up with, what i feel as a good logical answer. is that your fault? mine? or nobodies? i hope someone else can shed brighter knowledge and truth upon your question ; ) good luck BUT... my advice: give it your own meaning if it is beneficial to you and it makes you feel better. for example: maybe the bird with one wing, though at a disadvantage, has better survival skills than the dead bird. ironic? possibly. or maybe the dead bird was unlucky. maybe there is meaning in these examples. btw, the first two answerers summed it up quite well. hehe
