My back hurts from my tail bone almost all the way up to my bra line. My hips are realy sore and I am having Braxton hicks contractions. I am 36 weeks pregnant and I am home alone( my husband works the nightshift) How do I know if it is back labor?

the contractions are about 15 to 20 min apart and only last 10 to 25 sec. they don't hurt. It hurts more when they stop because the baby kicks really hard

It might be. With my first I only had back labor, No pain whatsoever in the front, but the pain i felt in my back was only the lower middle of my back. This went on and off for about 15 hours before it got to the point where I really couldnt handle it so I went to the hospital and they had to break my water for me to dialate. Then my son was born within a couple of hours. I would say as long as they are far apart dont worry about it for a while because especially if it's your first this may go on for a long while before anything progresses. And personally I'm really glad I didnt go to the hospital and have them admit me right away only to end up sitting there for 15 hours. I was much more comfortable at home.

Are you sure the contractions you're having are Braxton Hicks? Time them, how far apart, how long they last, and that will be a good indicator. I went into labor when my son was turned, i.e, back labor and the docs had me get on my hands and knees and gently rock back and forth to try to get the baby to move, which he did. You could be experiencing something similar, your baby turning in a now very cramped space. It hurts like hell. Do what you can to get comfy, keep a close eye on contractions, even if you think they're just Braxton Hicks. I'd call someone close to you, at least let someone know what's going on in case anything happens, and if your doc has an after hours line, it wouldn't hurt to call it. Good luck.

Point a million: Every occasion has to uncover volunteers to face as applicants. Not sufficient volunteers - no longer sufficient applicants. Point two: Standing in a hopeless ward, despite the fact that fascinating for all of the country wide events, isn't consistently functional, and, of path, bills cash. Standing method placing up a deposit, and publishing election fabric. Point three: In 2007 I do not feel any occasion is fielding applicants in additional than 60% of all of the council seats up for election. There is a ward close me that is most likely solidly Tory. A few years in the past the Tories could not uncover a candidate. Nor would every other occasion besides Labour. So he gained the seat through default. The man was once a conventional ancient staunch socialist and it was once relatively ironic that he spend four years representing a top Tory rural ward. The Tories made certain they post a candidate four years later. P.S. If you are going to cite Shakespeare you will have to no less than realize it. "Wherefore" honestly method "why are you", no longer "wherein are you". Juliet was once asking why Romeo needed to be from a household with whom hers had a feud.

Back labor is the worst I have had it 4 times it sounds like that is what you are in for but you will know when it is real because the pain will shoot around to the front you should probably have a friend or family member with you or you at their place just incase.Goodluck and congrats

They only way I could "try" and relive back labor was to position myself on all fours. :P
Time your BH contractions to see if they're coming at regular times. If they are, call your on call nurse line (OB's office) for info. If anything they can give you tips on what to do or look for.

Call the doctor and go to the hospital now! You could be experiencing premature labor. Some babies are not ready at 36 weeks.
Better safe than sorry for your baby, please get checked!
