Yeah. I've been dealing with that noise for years, but recently my doctor has been saying it's because of my migraines, but I didn't get them when I was younger so I think it may have been something else. After all, there are a LOT of pitches and ranges that we can't access in our hearing, so maybe, just maybe, we can hear a different level sometimes?

Well, there are wood-boring beetles whose larvae make tapping noises with their heads. Google "death-watch beetle" and you should turn something up. Otherwise it may be in your ear, or something neurological, or perhaps those darned NSA and FBI bugs malfunctioning again.

Mhmm...I hear it all the time. I'm fairly sure it's just my ears ringing from to intense silence, though. If you hum for a little while, it'll go away.
