I think it's tragic that US Blacks have that dude as an advocate. I think that he, just being who he is, does Blacks more harm than good. I have not heard about this new pursuit of his, but I think that it's pretty frivolous. He's not very polished or particularly well-spoken. I think that US blacks need a more articulate, modern Representative, that can appeal to a larger U.S. population segment.

He does not deserve to be put in front of any camera except for taking mug shots when they book him. The media should ignore his rantings just as Jesse Jackson should be ignored. There may have been a time when what the two of them said had value but lately they are dividing the people instead of uniting them. Hopefully other effective leaders will emerge like Obama to replace the old timers. It is not just the black community that needs new leaders, we all need fresh faces in congress and the white house. Throw out the old party liners and put people than are not bound to special interest in office.

I do too. Even though I don't have the highest regards for Elisabeth Hasselbeck I think she hit the bulls eye when she said Sharpton was "selective" in the people he singles out for using offensive terms about women. He's making a big deal about the "roboho" comment on Beyonce. Could it be because Beyonce is black? Where is he when people make similar comments about people like Hilton and Lohan? If you're going to speak out against derogatory comments about women let's play even-handed and be color blind.

He's one of the biggest racists and agitators of all time. It's just a publicity stunt to revive his flagging popularity.
