I am really curious why anyone would compare this to Cheney or to a DUI? Neither Cheney nor a drunk driver, however heinous the results of their stupidity, set out to cause and create pain and suffering. (No, not even Cheney - hunters want a quick, painless kill). The more appropriate comparison, relative to this question, is Pacman Jones, and the effort that the NFL is making to eliminate the thugocracy, and regain their image.
No, I don't think he will play, I think Vick will get and will deserve a lengthy suspension. I also think that the other shoe is yet to drop re: dogfighting and the NFL. (Please see Clinton Portis for more info).

Man I think it's over for Vick now. The feds are building a case against him and he's been indicted on the charges. He may or may not be able to get out of this one. I for one hope that if he gets out of this one, he will change his ways and realize what an opportunity he has and push on and do great things, but with court cases you never know. Please look @ this articlet Yahoo has posted on Vick.

If the indictment holds, he is looking at probably a minimum of 8 games cooling his heels. The commish has already made examples of players and won't hesitate to do so again. Even if he gets a year, he'll appeal and it will probably get knocked down to 8 or 12 games. So, to answer your question, yes I think he will play.

No, but I bet he'll be better at completing his sentence than completing passes. How does the Vice President's hunting accident equate with a pattern of thug behavior? Lasorda's DUI isn't exactly the same thing either now is it? They DID make a big deal out of current manager Tony LaRussa's DUI!

He is likely to be suspended if the federales have a strong case. Roger Goodell will likely review what is publicly available and make a decision by Week 1.

Probably Not.
The Feds don't get a Grand Jury indictment unless there is a high probability of conviction.
If he is convicted, his playing days are over.....OVER!
if he is aquitted...some one may sign him, but he'll never start again.

Will you play in the NFL this year?? Damn, give it a rest. That's all you people talk about is Vick's screwup. What about Tony Larussa? Yeah, i guess you forgot about his DUI, as did the media, that was only on for half a day then they covered it up, i wonder why? Didn't hear too much about Cheney shootin' somebody with a shotgun, that was only in the news for a couple of days, then they covered that up, wonder why? And you wanna cause a stir-up about somebody who SUPPOSEDLY fought pit bulls?? Get outta here.

I think he will. He is not yet convicted and after this case is over hopefully he becomes a better player and does put the middle finger to his fans. I am taking a guess saying that he will play.
