Three things in life we cannot EVER change-----taxes, death and OUR PARENTS.... so you either learn to accept all 3 or live in some sort of fantasy land... When you are a small child, you rely on your parents for EVERYTHING... as you get older and become a teenager, your parents become less important to you (or so you THINK) because you are getting more independent, hanging out with friends and do not NEED your parents for entertainment---but, if they stopped providing food, shelter, clothing and occasional money for things, you'd be NO WHERE.... THEN, you become and adult, you may not always agree with your parents, but you once again find yourself depending on them for things---babysitting YOUR children, helping with hope repairs, and sometimes, you even become FRIENDS... sometimes, unfortunately it works out differently and you become further and further estranged from your parents through your adulthood... BUT, they are STILL your parents and without them, you wouldn't BE here!!!! We ALL owe them SOMETHING for that anyway....if nothing else......because when they are GONE, they are gone for good.
By the way, I LOVED my parents but I didn't always LIKE them.

I dont have a father but I love my mom with all of my heart. I would do anything for her. Anything to make her smile or make her pain go away. She has just been diagnosed with cancer. I am so sad and worried for her.
