It really saddens me to see so many dirogatory questions concerning black people tonight. I have been in this category several times in the past and I've never seen it this bad! Every other question is just plain ignorant!! I understand that they are merely seeking attention and trying to get people stirred up because they carry so much hatred in thier souls that they don't have any humanity left, but it is getting way out of hand!!
My suggestion is this:
Please don't answer their questions anymore. Your responses don't make a difference to them! They thrive on hate and are looking for the negative attention, so they can justify their beliefs! They have no souls and are very cold hearted!
If we just stop answering, before we know it, they will get bored answering eachother's questions and hopefully go away!!!

In response to bomoron, I am white. And if someone hit me for 19 days straight, I would dislike him, not his entire race! It's common sense! You cannot base one person's actions on their entire race of people. I have been hurt and burnt by plenty of white people, should I hate my own race now????

Unfortunately, these comments will not go away. There are many people who think negative things about minorities and they are either "bold" enough or "coward" enough to post their comments on the website.
As a black person and especially as a black woman, I do want to know what others really think of me. You mentioned that you have biracial children and I think it is important for you to know the comments to help them face the world. So these comments are both an education and a disappointment.

I agree with your suggestion, however; after reading some of the questions some of these people have posted I've noticed that the SAME people are adding fuel to the flame & keep fuling the fire by answering them. Those are the people that need to read this question, they are the ones who need to stop giving those people the attention they so badly want. Just look yourself, the SAME people leaving answers and/or comments. STOP!!!!

You know, you can get rid of these people, especially if you have contacts to share the burden with. Granted, it means paying their Profiles a visit and reporting all of their Questions and Answers, but....
Also understand too that you can and *should* Report their Questions multiple times. Many of the most offensive Questions do violate Community Guidelines in multiple ways after all: they aren't just racist or offensive, they often use hashed-up vulgar and obscene language, and many of these spewers are techincally Point Gaming too by using multiple accounts.
I know. It's work. And it is a shame that *we* have to do it and not Yahoo Inc. But honestly, that is going to be the only real way we can *ever* be rid of the more hardcore, hateful trolls here, is by getting in their face and getting account after account *after account* of theirs yanked until they either move on or until Yahoo bans their email addresses. They're just a bunch of paid-for idiots, who are *paid to* spew and make a mess and ruin the Internet for the rest of us. They will refuse to learn any other way.
Really. Take the fight to them. Make a posse of you and your close friends and contacts and *go get them*. It's mean but necessary.

I usually JUMP on questions like that - and both report them, and post something along the lines of...
"Don't feed the Troll, Kids ;);)"
If it wasn't for postings like that - I'd probably be at about 45% Best Answer (instead of 30%) by now ;);)
However - I think some people just enjoy the two points that they get out of it...

It's true. There are really going at it tonight-people with kids beware. It's probablya bunch of young people in a computer lab with nothing better to do. They may be women, men young old-who knows what race--but they are bored is what it is. I think that they know each other too.

I agree completely. We all just need to ignore them..stay away from them period. Don't even read them if they look that way. People are either bored and immature, or ignorant and hate-filled. Best way to shut them down is to just let it go and not be concerned.

you are right! They come here EVERYDAY and everyday this section is full of racist questions, so much so that there is a lawsuit againt YA.
This should be a place where everyone can come to exchange information, but it is not comfortable for blacks to be here and YA should not tolerate that.

I agree. Instead of focusing on the actual individual they focus on their race or sexuality (gays) and sometimes gender. We've all had our outs with someone of another race, but that goes for our own too.
