You don't wash your car for a month and it never rains. Then the day you decide to finally wash the car, it pours.
Murphy's Law.

You're running late for work and:
- you miss your bus
- you get your zipper caught in your shirt
- you drop your keys down a sewer grating
- you don't have bus fare on you
Murphy's Law.

You're never asked to present at a weekly meeting, and then the one time you aren't prepared you're called on to present to the boss.

My friend asked her hubby to fix the leak of the front yard sprinkler before their daughters brthday party the next weekend but he says the leak's really small and it shouldn't bother anyone... It popped and cracked and messed up the inflatable jumper they rented for the party while the kids were in it. Bummer... hehe... you can just imaging what trouble he got from my friend... lol

Murphy's Golden Rule:
~~~> Whoever has the Gold makes the Rules.
not necessarily true / consistent with my example... LOL
Murphy's Law was named after Captain Edward A. Murphy and is formed by 8LAWS.
If anything can go wrong, it will at the worst possible moment.
If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong.
If anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway.
If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which something can go wrong, and circumvent these, then a fifth way, unprepared for, will promptly develop.
Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse.
If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
Nature always sides with the hidden flaw.
Whatever has happened wrong, is bound to happen again .... maybe even worse.
Murphy's law is a popular adage in Western culture that broadly states that things will go wrong in any given situation, if you give them a chance. "If there's more than one possible outcome of a job or task, and one of those outcomes will result in disaster or an undesirable consequence, then somebody will do it that way." It is most often cited as "Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong" (or, alternately, "Whatever can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time," or, "Anything that can go wrong, will," or even, "If anything can go wrong, it will, and usually at the most inopportune moment"). The saying is sometimes referred to as Sod's law or Finagle's law which can also be rendered as "Anything that can go wrong, will—at the worst possible moment".
It's liking waiting several weeks to get your car washed, and right after you have it done comes the first rain in a long time (or was that the Alanis Morissette song?).
I was in a hurry this morning and wen to McDonalds drive through to get something to eat for breakfast before i went to work. There was a long line up and a blue pick up truck stayed there forever. I was the last car and were about the 7th car. I back out, parked and went in because I thought that would be faster. Went in and found out the line up was even longer and the line was not moved at all. There is a monitor showing the drive through and the car used to be in front of me was being served.
You are trying to clear a jam on your Browning .50 cal when the guy who is giving you cover fire informs you that his M-16 is also jammed and the radio has a big friggin hole in it from a chunk of shrapnel and the chopper that is coming to alleviate the situation takes an RPG round in the tail rotor and spins in a 200 yard dash over open terrain away etc. etc.
You're on a date with a guy that you really like. The possibilities of things that could go wrong, the waitor at the restaurant spills food on you, you have to go to the hospital for serious scalding, you go to see a late movie and the guy behind you is masturbating, and when he takes you home and leans in to give you a kiss goodnight, you fart.
You JUST got a brand new car, the car you've been saving up for for years. On your way home from the dealership, you're in a car accident. And you haven't notified your insurance carrier yet about the new car...
I broke up with my ex-girlfriend
she lied about being pregnant so we would get back together
this guy I hung out with told me she went over to his place and cheated on me
me and the other guy fought, I didn't land a single punch on him, but he manage to cut my lip before the fight was broke off
the guy was going out with another girl in the group I hung out with, even though she knew he cheated on her, she didn't break up with him, so I ended up not talking to the people who I used to kick it with
in short:
I broke up with girl, she lies about me being a father (took away first time I thought I was going to be a dad), then she cheats on me with a friend, he was the one who got mad that I told everyone what had happened and we fought, I ended up with a cut lip while he walked away without a scratch, pretty much everyone I knew took his side while I was left by myself, no girlfriend, no friends..
f*ck em'
the end
