I was interested in moving some bushes and trees I have from my front yard to my backyard and then buying some new bushes to plant to create a privacy wall in my front yard. Is it too late in the season to do this? I'm afraid to do it if there is a risk all the bushes I buy will die and I will lose all that money which I can't afford. Am I better of waiting till next spring or can it also be done in the fall?
Thanks in advance!

You still have two to three months before it's too late. ;-)

Early Fall is the best time to plant or transplant trees or bushes.
I live in Northren N.Y. and have had the best success during that time.

Yes it definitely can be done anytime before the first hard freeze. Now is a perfectly reasonable time. You can get them established before winter.

You can do it.... but you'd better run the hose non stop!
--- I would bet that you will loose a few of them to the AUGUST heat. I would advise you wait... esp' if they are large. If you do it now water - water and water.
