I live in newyork. I just finished watching americas got talent here at 9.30 pm.. Im confused about this.. That why were there only 10 finalists on tonight? Werent there supposed to be 20? The 10 on tonight were ( kevin the magician, kashif the bollywood dancer, The cute big glamazons , the boy band johnny lately, the sewage worker who sang, the latin guy who sang, the 14 year old girl singer , the butterscotch beatboxer girl, the 4 sideswipe guys, and the cowboy)..
What happened to the others like boy shakira etc? Did i miss a show in between after the vegas selection of the top twenty?.
And what happened to my favourite act.. THE SECOND STORY GUYS? The incredibly talented guys who danced on stilts??

Also why disnt they let the amazing acts into thr final 20 like.. the baton twirler, the little boy with a dog ( the dog even broke its leg :(

They split it up so you can see all the acts in full with as much commercials thats you could possible jam in an hour and a half. they have 10 acts this week and the last ten next week and next week i believe they will tell who will go on tho the next round, but for some reason i still cant vote online.
why let the boy with the dog with the broken leg, or someone else through who doesn't talent when you have BOY SHARKIA!!!.......
lol...j/k i am as baffled as you why they didn't pick some other people who HAVE talent. I was rooting for that boy with the dog too.

They split the 20 acts into 2 shows. The one you saw showed 10 acts which viewers voted on and 5 will go through to the next round. On July 24, the last of the 20 will perform (ie Boy Shikira, Second Story Guys,etc.) and viewers will vote. The top 5 from that show will go on and thus forms the top 10.

I had some trouble voting, but was able to get through to give my votes for Julienne, Manuel, and Robert...they were all really good. Can't wait to see how next week goes....
