Just need to know about fan lights combos for bathrooms, can you wire it so that the light can be turned on separately from the vent. Doesn’t makes sense to me to turn on the light if you just need to turn in the fan ex. during the day.

first why put the receptacle on a switch at all ? second always be care full when Dealing with electrical and all electrical work SHOULD be done by a qualified electrician that being said turn the power off untwist all the wires then making sure none of the wires are touching each other turn the power back on and find your hot wire with a tester it should be one of the wires with only a black (hot) a white ( neutral) and a green or bare wire (ground) then turn the power off at the breaker then identify your receptacle wire this can be done with your tester too put it on ohms plug it into the receptacle and start touching your hots (black wires) to your neutrals (white wires) of the same sets of wires only make certain the power is off when your ohm meter moves you have it identify the light in much the same way unscrew the bulb and put one lead of your tester in the very center and the other on the outside rim it should be the only 3 wire set left and if it is then the 4 wire set definitely goes to your fan light combo then tie all your grounds together and then all your neutrals (white wires) together you should take the black (hot) and tie it to the black (hot) of the receptacle. then pig tail from your hot (black) to your switch (sometimes called and over under switch comes in many shapes and can have up to 4 switches in one single device) using another short black wire to the hot of the switch then take the black (hot) from your light and put it on the top screw opposing the hot screw on the other side of the switch but if you want the receptacle on the switch you will tie it to the light hot (black wire) then the black wire in the group of 4 wires should be the light in the fart fan but it might be the red just depends on who wired it but you put that and the red together and using another pig tail (small black wire) hook that to the bottom screw opposing the hot side of the switch now if you get a over under switch that has three switches in one then you do not tie the black and red together you put each on its own screw when that is all done take your grounds and tuck them in the back of the box very close and tight to the back do the same with the neutrals then god willing you can get the switch in this part can be the hardest part of all

You would have to rewire and add a switch. It would cost $150 - $200 to hire an electrician. That pays for a lot of electric. Switch the bulbs to compact florescent and leave the light on.

Yes you can turn them on seperately. Just be sure when you buy your fan/light combo to purchase a double switch or even a triple switch if you want a heater combo.

It may take some rewiring for separate feeds with separate switches but yes you can.
