It is not that we want to be the world police...Other countries just will not step up to the plate and do what has to be done. Look out the way they let Saddam Husein get away with defying the UN so many times..what is the limit for defying the UN....ten, twenty, thirty or forty times? Germany and France were a great disappointment to Americans. We expected them to do more.

If they are going to make laws and rules for the countries, then they must enforce them. Otherwise they are a joke. I personally think America should just withdraw their money and support from this group because they never step up to the plate and do what's right.

The current administration would love to be the police of the world. They don't care about what the world wants or even what the American people want out of them. They will lie, buy and bribe their way to have things go the way they want. Hopefully, Bush and Cheney won't ruin the world too much more before they are gladly seen out of office.

To police something you have to be sure of whats right (morally)

American justice within its borders is about a set of laws based on the wisdom of its sense of justice to do with the rights of each human being

American justice out of its borders is about defending its interests and not about other peoples interests

Therefore America has the moral capability to police itself
But does not have the moral basis to police others.

That's not an insult
That's just the facts of life.

It should not be because it does not have all its ducks in a row. If it looks at itself honestly, it would see what??suicide,oppression, poor homeless destitute, shootings, mass murders, racism, power hungry politicians, thieves, opportunists,mass weaponry,uneducated, deprivation, within its own borders. Fix that before you say "be like us because we are better off"
