Ceremonial Magick is another discipline in the manipulation of the environment and those within it. It is based on many of the Christian "evils" and bugaboos as well as it's Angels and God.

Ceremonial magic is not evil, there is no evil magic, just evil intent...just like a good person (non-religious or otherwise) can be mad at a crime, that anger, while most anger is negative, could be harnassed into good...therefore the only evil is the intent. And as for the first lady who responded...how 'bout reading some books on magic for answers...and what about the magic of your God? Creationism? Is THAT evil? How 'bout when he 'created' us from dirt? That was magic, so was THAT evil? Just a thought to brighten your day (or night...whichever one...) But I hope I helped you out.

That would depend on what you see as evil. If you are speaking from a religious stand point then it varies widely. Most Christians, for example, believe that all magic is evil. While those Pagans that choose to pratice in magic, don't see it that way. To them it is a way of connecting to their chosen path and their way of life. Kind of like reading the bible and praying is a Christian's way of connecting with God.
Most people who practice magic, do not do so to harm anyone, they just want to get closer to what they believe in.
There are a few, shall we say fanatics out there that believe that hexes and curses are there for our own pleasure and use them when they feel like it. Kind of like those of other religions that spew hatred and lies about those in other paths of religion.
Those are the ones that are "evil" or negative if you will. And it is not just saved for those that practice magic. "Evil" and negativity can effect anyone of any religion.

Ceremonial magic is just a form of entertainment nothing hurts or killed. Lying to the people is evil like Mr. Bush did to us about Iraq

NO! Magic is not evil! It's practiced in the Pagan religion, and is pretty much the same as prayers in Christianity. It's not evil.

No form of magic/prayer/meditation is inherently good or evil. Good or evil is in the intent of the user of such practices. If you are using any of these forms to try to control or harm others, it is 'evil', if you are using them for beneficial ends, it is 'good.'
Keep in mind, that your opinion of beneficial may be different from the opinion of someone else, so you should never spellcast/pray/meditate with the intent of rearranging someone else's life without clearing it with them first.

I think it depends on what you open yourself to.. I personally will not do any harm to anyone. I wish no harm to me or my family. I follow a polytheistic religion. We believe in both good and evil energy. I have seen people use the Bible to slander those that prefer to worship differently. Follow your heart and listen to your own intuition. Peace and Success to U..

No it depends on what type of magick you do. Curses are evil, but other than that magick isn't evil at all.
