That way, Israel could exist and so could Palestine. After all, since the Arab nations support the Palestinians, then they should be the ones who cede land to them.

You are correct! It was the land of the Hebrews, until Palestine took it over. Therefore, the Hebrews (Jews) had it first.

Why doesn't Britain give up some land to the Palestinians? Britain had a big hand in giving Palestine to Zionists to create the Jewish state. While Britain had a "mandate" to administer Palestine, it didn't belong to them to give away, and certainly not to remove existing inhabitants to make way for the Jewish state (that was one of their proposals). I think maybe Britain should give up the south-east fifth, it's just a small part of Great Britain.

Or since the U.S. is such a major supporter of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine by Israel, how about the US give up some of their land to create Palestine - some of California might be equivalent, maybe the coastal region from Santa Barbara to San Jose.

What's more moving the holy cities of Jerusalem and Bethlehem would present wonderful oppurtunities to provide jobs for the impoverished, and furthermore situating them nearer to so many tourists who would want to visit them would be a great benefit in terms of saving the environment, I mean, instead of moving all those tourists to those cities using how much jet fuel, why not move the cities to the tourists?

No really. In all seriousness, the Israelis were the ones who forced out the Palestinians from their homes at gunpoint and with threats of massacre. They were the ones who committed ethnic cleansing. Your proposal sounds like more ethnic cleansing by Israel, and payment for it by other Arab people. Just because they support or sympathize with the victims? Why do you think that parties that didn't commit the crime should be the ones to make restitution for it?

Anoldmick hit the nail on the head after WW II that land was given to iserial as compinsation for what the jews suffered during the war. It was never asked or money offered for the land so now there is alot of resent over it. The Middle east is not like the US were we only have 250 years of history. there hostory goes back way befor Jesus and the people have a differant mind set then us.

"Palestinians" are just Arabs who were expelled from other Arab nations prior to the establishment of Israel. Other countries won't give them land because they don't want them; they only pretend to support the Palestinians as a way of opposition to Israel.

If they did that then they would lose their justification as regarding Israel as their enemy.

And with Israel gone as their enemy how do they explain to their population why they have no freedom and why they live in poverty.

The Arab states need Israel as a scapegoat and that is why they use the Palestinians as pawns.

I think you should change your question to Why should Palestinians give up thier land. After all, it was their land first until Isreal invaded. As fore Syria and Egypt, they have nothing to do with this fued. Palestine existed before Isreal and they're being slaughtered for standing up for their rights while being poor. They are sitting on the sidelines watching their family being shot, and then strapping a bomb to themselves and walking in the nearest Isreali mall. Is this right? Of course not, but Isreal made those suicide bombers who they are and we are not helping matters at all.

Y'know, you might benefit by learning to read a history book. Israel exists because land was taken away at gunpoint from people who already occupied it. Those people are called "Palestinians". How would you feel if someone came along, stuck a gun in your face and told you to get the hell off your property and then moved into your house without even giving you one cent in compensation? You would be pretty peed off, wouldn't you? Now tell me why the Palestinians shouldn't be peed off about having the very same thing done to them?

It's insane. Look at small Israel is (and look at the vast Arab lands around who mostly hate them and want to drive them into the see, if you can find it with your magnifying glass (link below).

Plus, they won it fair and square. Anoldmick, however, displays his complete ignorance.

Because Israel is the enemy.

They want the land from them because they hate Jews.

They will do anything to disrupt their lives.

Didn't America decide they had the authority to give their land away?
