Both, actually it's Mentadent, but sometimes I take paste and put gel on top of it.
Mentadent is a good toothpaste.

I change that every time I change my tooth paste/gel (i.e. whenever I need more paste/gel to brush my teeth with)

It depends on the type of toothbrush. If you have a Sonicare, it is better to use a gel. If you do it manually, I like to use a nice paste. Good Brushing.
