I babysit a baby. He is very, very bad about the whole "leaving his mommy" thing. Even when I'm just doing Mother's Helper.

What are some ways to stop him?

And distracting him doesn't work. He just cries harder, which makes the job difficult.

It would help if I got at least a couple opinions from moms. Does this make you feel like the babysitter isn't doing her job well?

Help please =D

Sorry for posting this twice, but I only got a couple of answers in Pregnancy & Parenthood.

Distraction.....Food.....Sleep...... Company. They are the four basics. Remember to make it a point of rule that You are in charge. Don't yell but use a deep voice to give instructions. Tell Him that He will get into trouble if He is bad. Ask Your Mother & Father how They managed to put up with You. That is one of the things Parents love to pass on to Their Children......experience of age and hard won knowledge.
