For the last 3 seasons the pistons have not won a ring and only have one ring in the post isaih era yet for some reason people put them on a big pedestal with the spurs and lakers of the 2000s. Also they play in the east which is the weakest conference. If they were on the west they would be in 5 behind the mavs, spurs, suns, rockets. Also they lost to Cleveland which got swept by the Spurs. They also only won in 2004 when jason kidd was injured, jermaine o'neal was hurt, and the lakers were disgruntled.

Your telling the truth but please don't mention the Rockets...They never even been past the first round and they face weak teams.....But Pistons in the west would be another Rockets team out in the first round....They are good but only cause they are in the east....I like Billups,Hamilton,Prince and Sheed but they are overrated...James alone took them so how can they stop any team in the west.....

Yes the pistons are extreamly overrated they're not as great as people give them credit for. Also u made a good point they play in the east which this past season was the worst ive seen it. If they were out west they would get killed.In 2004 they got lucky jason kidd was injured and the nets still had a 3-2 lead, and if the lakers didn't have those problems that year played like the real lakers they could've swept detroit.

Give me a break man, Ever since Detroit was placed on East. They went on the Jordan era, the Olajuwon era and Kobe-Shaq era. And still they are in the east. The point is the west became strong only in these latter years (2000-present) during the 90's is there any team in the West that was favored to win against the Bulls? None. It was always the Bulls vs. the whole west. lol. The Pistons achievement is not overrated. Making it to the conference Finals 5 times is an achievement (only the Lakers of the 80's made the same feat). So there if only two teams in NBA history made such feat how would you ever call it OVERRATED?
