I'm too scared to sex her/him myself, the tail may fall off

well, it matters if I want to get a second gecko, because 2 male geckos will fight and if you get a male and female the male will often bully the female

Once they reach approx 6 mths of age they can be sexed very easily. The male will have a bulge at the base of the tail and if you look under the tail, near the vent, you will notice enlarged femoral pores in males. All juvies appear as females.

Leopard geckos cannot be probed and if you take it to the vet and the vet tries to probe it, find another vet immediately.

Males will be very manly at the base of the tail-- you will see two "bulges" on either side of the tail base. If too young for maturity, a vet can use a probe to sex. The probe is inserted into the vent to determine male or female.

And, you are right to want to know since you will have more than one. They can be prolific breeders.

hmm..a vet pprolly...but why does it matter what sex it is?

just give it a unisex name
ie;alex.
