I get up because I don't want to give up. I will see Serena again, and if it starts with getting up in the morning, my fatigue will never stop me!

My alarm clock gets me up in the morning...and it's definitely that and not my mind-numbing, soul-draining job. You're lucky to have a Serena!

Knowing that I have a God given life and a responsibility to those I love and who love me back. I get up in the morning knowing that everything has a purpose and opportunity for growth, and that from every experience I have, good or bad, I will become a better person. Not to mention, I have a great dog who wakes up about 7 a.m. every morning and knowing that she's in my life puts a smile on my face every day.

I have plenty of reasons to get up every morning...

to start the day with my morning prayers
to see my husband's sleeping face beside me
to kiss my daughter's forehead
to greet the morning sun
to breathe in a fresh morning air
to smell that wonderful cup of coffee
to meet my friends at work
to lose myself in the job I love
to be welcomed home with a daughter's hug
to welcome my husband home
to enjoy a quiet family dinner
to work out jigsaw puzzles with my little one
to catch up on my husbands day over some hot chocolate and watching him listening to mine
to speak to my god in my nightly prayers and thanking him for a beautiful day, and praying that I'll be blessed with another tomorrow...
to curl up in bed next to hubby dearest with my favorite book
to fall asleep and prepare my being to wake up for another wonderful day...

really, plenty of reasons

The possibility that I may experience the love of God that day -- without the love of God, I waste away in existential anxiety and indecision. You may say this is pathetic, but I dare to say I'm blessed.

Usually it's an intense need to pee, or my cat jumping on my head. But actually it's responsibility to my family that really gets me going. Yes, even on weekends!
