As a mother, animal lover, and dog owner, I think that whoever does that should pay a high price. They have no right to do that to innocent creatures. The dogs are just victims of these people's ignorance and absolute lack of values and morals. I just hope he burns in hell.

better yet, he should have to get in the fighting pit, or whatever they call it, and fight to the death with one of his fighting dogs.

oh jeez!!! please give me a break jkels and carolina boy. would you both just do the world a favor and STFU!!! vick commited a felony, ok? a cruel, heartless, viscous, violent crime. the color of his skin has zero to do with anything. carolina boy, no big deal was made about slavery? are you retarded? a big deal is still being made about it today, moron, 200 years later. please do yourself a favor and stop blaming all of your problems on the white man, take responsibility for your own actions and you will be a lot more sucessful in life. if you ever commit a felony yourself, like micheal vick did, please don't go on the internet crying about how it's the white mans fault, that you're just being picked on because you're black, because believe me, no one will be listening.

Well, I don't know what your crime was, but just because you're rotting in prison doesn't mean Vick should. No, I don't think he should rot in prison forever like you. What Vick did is morally unacceptable given current social mores, but it's as much a part of his culture as anything else. It isn't clear to me he even had any idea he was doing anything 'wrong'. And what is 'wrong' anyway? He deserves to pay his debt and be able to move on with his life. Anyone who's too quick to throw away someone else's life is condoning intolerance, and you wouldn't like it were the same attitude reflected on your own sins.

If Michael Vick is guilty of killing dogs after they did not perform well for dog fighting, he's about as big a scum bag as you will find. Apparently Michael Vick's associates killed dogs after having them fight. As a dog owner it totally disgusts me to hear about the allegations against Vick!!!

I don't know how any person with a heart could even think of doing such cruel things to anything living. How could you take an innocent puppy and raise them to fight for their lives just for people's entertainment?

The thing that disgusts me most is the fact that the dogs died by:

1) drowning
2) being electricuted
3) shot
4) hung
5) slammed to the cement

I'm a sports fan and all, but THERE IS NO WAY I COULD CHEER FOR A GUY LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN!!!

I don't know the NFL's schedule, but if he shows up to San Francisco I'll taunt, and mouth off on is @**!!

Oh Jeez - now this has become a racist thing. Just because people object to animal cruelty and dog fighting they are racists? How did you make that leap? If this guy IS involved in any way either by direct participation or by providing assistance, he's guilty. And, if he is found to be involved, there is a heavy fine and jail time. Isn't having some talent on the field, recognition and big bucks enough - what else would be motivating this guy? I hate to think.....

Burn in hell? No. After all, Vick didn't murder two people and leave a bloody trail all the way back to Rockingham Way! He should get about a year solid time with another year out of football teaching kids to forego the thug life. The authorities must have a good case because they moved very slowly and carefully so they wouldn't be accused of racism. They will be anyway, but what the hell? My honest guess would be that his fame, money and politics will prevent him from doing any hard time. Probably a 5 year suspended sentence, a huge fine (which means next to nothing to him) and a year out of football.

I'm pretty upset about it too. To make matters worse, none of the charges the Feds have indicted him with include animal cruelty. It sounds like a laundry list of white collar crimes. They used to torture these animals before forcing them to fight/mate with each other. I hope Vick ends up in a cage like that too. But more so, i hope the Fed Prosecutors include a charge of animal cruelty/torture whatever. I suspect there is no federal law on point. Why would they overlook that? It just sends the wrong message in light of the abuse to treat it like a crime of illegal commerce.

Boy, it would have been nice to hear all of this 100 years or so ago. Listen at these people, it was a bunch of dogs, not humans. What about slaves that were hung? So you're tellin' me that he should get the same sentence that Jefferey Dahmer got? Please! What he did was wrong, but there was never this much stir up about white people doin' it to black people, and they still try to cover that up today. I bet if this was Peyton Manning or Tom Brady all of you who are talkin' s#it about Vick would just act like nuthin' happen. They would've been let off of the hook along time ago, the FEDs would've believed Tom Brady if he said he didn't know what was going on in his own house.

what is up with all these people saying you value a dogs life over human life? there were never any humans in danger of loosing their lifes in this dog fight!! it was a very cruel thing that he done, and it doesn't have anything to do with his color
i don't give a sh#t if he were white, he doesn't deserve to play for any teams, much less the nfl, I am from georgia and this is very embarassing for us as a state!!!! but just know that god will punish him for this horrible thing he did. i think they should put him in a cage, and make him fight some big bad a*s for his breakfast, lunch, and dinner. fight till the death. survival of the best. and i hope he looses.

Ohh get out of here, unless you saw Vick participate in dog fights you don't know if he's innocent or not. Do you think that people that hunt and kill innocent animals should burn in hell also. . . i bet not..... this really isn't even about animal cruelty. it's about race. innocent until proven guilty.
