Depends on what kind of sticker, and what it's stuck on. A hair dryer will help soften the sticker if you haven't already peeled it off (especially effective for vinyl stickers). Cooking oil will help scrape the goo off once you've removed the sticker. Finally, there's a product called GooBeGone that's specifically made to remove stickers and other gooey stuff (smells like it's probably just citrus oil)

Broad question...but you will find WD-40 loosens and removes lots of things like that. I removed an airbag sticker from a Mercedes Benz convertible (sticker looked ugly in its mandated yerllow color. If WD-40 won't harm what it is stuck on, give it a try.... exercize patience...

Hair dryer or preferably a heat gun will melt the adhesive behind the sticker allowing you to "remove sticker"

Try lighter fluid to dissolve the adhesive if you want to get off a sticker.

You can purchase adhesive remover, such as the aforementioned Goo-Be-Gone, or lighter fluid will work just as well, but be sure to clean the item with soap and water to avoid flammable hazards.
