Yes & from a very young age {9} I was led to believe that my mum was in danger if I showed people how sad I was, then when I got older, I had to 'put on a brave face' in front of my kids, pretend everything was great, when really I was devestated at being diagnosed with Pagets of the breast & grade 3 tumours (all clear now so dont have to pretend to be happy)
xx * for good question xx

Yes all the time. I dont want to appear to be a depressed person so sometimes I pretend everything is peachy.

Yes, especially at work. I have a supervisory roll in my winter job (different job winter and summer) and I have found that the better mood I am in, the better we work as a team.
So I definitely put on a face sometimes.

Yes, I am very unhappy, but I put on that false, happy front. It's the only thing that keeps me going. I wish it was the opposite.

I actually do this alot and i have realized that maybe its because i have confided in people and actually said "yeah im upset about blah blah", ...and that persons answer dissapointed me or they belittled my feelings. I think thats why there is so much pretending in peoples emotions.

Yes, and sometimes I even fool myself into thinking I actually was happy.
