How do you make an Automatic 1994 Bmw 325i a 5 spd?

You sell the automatic and buy one with a stick. It's much cheaper than trying to find a manual transmission and have it installed.

You get transmission conversion kit, usually junk yard would have it as set. It should come with transmission, clutch pedal, some cables, and drive shaft. You still need to buy new clutch kit. Then pay mechanic 100 hours of fee to perform the conversion. That would come out around $7000 in my area.

Better method is sell your BMW, add that $7000, and get a same year BMW with 5 speed tranny.

There are shops who would "transplant" a used manual gearbox from the salvage yard into your car.

The one I know of in my area is www.theeurodepot.com. But I'm sure there're many others out there.

It's not very cost effective unless you are really attached to your car.

Going from auto to manual is a lot easier than the reverse though.
