I'm just curious - their tracking site says that my package is currently out for delivery, but it's currently 7:13 PM where I am. When do they park their trucks and quit for the day, or do they just keep going until everything is done?

They will keep going with residential deliveries until the truck is empty. Business deliveries are made during typical business hours.

There are complicated formulas that determine how many packages a driver should be able to deliver during a normal shift.....but delays or mechanical breakdowns do happen. If it says out for delivery, it is still on the truck and headed your way.
(These drivers make great money on overtime so they usually don't mind working a little late to finish the deliveries)

Depends on their load for the day. I've had them beeping in my driveway well after 8:00 during their busy (holiday) seasons. Don't forget about a potential equipment breakdown as well. As much maintenance as UPS puts into its vehicles, their lives are HARD, and they do on occasion quit running, which might delay your delivery another day.

better call an ask where it is...I've had them come to the house, not ring the door bell and leave one of those dumb "we tried to get you" notes on the door. I wouldn't put it past them to not even bother to show up and mark it as you weren't home.
