well, in the beginning, Bert was a spokesperson for sesame seed bagels. Bert loved sesame seeds so so much that when he was little he decided that he wanted to work with them for the rest of forever. however, when Bert was fired from his job as a spokesperson for the buns (rumor has it that he was getting too friendly with the other female employees) he was so sad, and that is when his friend Ernie invited him to come meet the producer of sesame street. well, Bert loved the show and the show loved him so there you go. love at first.....whatever

Sesame Street wouldn't be the same without Bert there to remind us that pigeons and linoleum are just as important as the fun things in life.

Both Bert and Ernie are icons they been with the show as long as Kermit !! Bert has always been my favourite Muppet !! He has facial expression even though his face doesn't move !! When he turns his head and looks at you it's hilarious you just know what he's thinking!!

Because Bert is AWESOME! :) Go Bert! I like Cookie Monster, Elmo, and Big Bird, too, though. Oh, and Ernie.

Bert was one of the first creations that Jim Henson did. Kermit the Frog was his first and is the most famous.

Here in America, the answer is simple: Bert (like Ernie), is Mexican. He is suppose to be our way of saying that America supports and got luv for Latinos. Same for Big Bird being reprsented as our way of saying America got luv for drag queens!!! Go figure...ehh?
