Nothing is rotting in my fridge. I clean it out and wash the interior Every Wednesday, which is the day before my grocery shopping day. Also, If I know there will be leftovers... I divide the food as soon as it's cooked. Then label, date and freeze a portion of what I cooked, to have at a later date, when I'm too busy to cook. This helps me avoid having to rely on take-out or fast food, or eating out too often.

Yogurt that no one ever eats has been expired for 2 weeks. I ate a cup of it today and it doesn't taste like it's been rotting.

It grosses me out when I ever let it get that bad - so I never do!
I clean mine out once or twice a week.
Plus it 's a side by side and you have to move things around because they're so da*n narrow!
