11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the hypoteneuse CANNOT BE LONGER THAN THE OTHER TWO SIDES ADDED UP!!! or else they would not be able to reach.

four and four add up to eight, which is not quite nine, so it couldnt be 4.

5 and 5 EQUAL 9, so when pulled together the segments would all just sit on a line. not make a triangle.

4 and 9 equals 13, which is not quite 14, leaving 11 (which works) left to be the correct answer.

does it make sense? you cant have a triangle if two of the lines wont reach each other.

the sum of two legs of a triangle must be greater than the hypotenuse to be a triangle

4) 4 + 4 = 8 < 9 = NO
5) 4 + 5 = 9 == 9 = NO
11) 4 + 9 = 13 > 11 = YES
14) 4 + 9 = 13 < 14 = NO

So 11 is the only choice that can be a leg

properly pronounced Amanda. an straightforward yet very precise description. in case you're taking 2 lines, one 4 and one 9, and connect them each and each at one end, they could make a quickly line of 13. So it could could be below 13 or it could no longer connect on the third intersection and nevertheless proceed to be a triangle. Then if the two lines have been folded against one yet another, there could nevertheless be a span of 5 between the two ends. something much less does not attain and a length of 5 does not enable the formation of a triangle. the comparable critical works the two properly for the 2d subject.

Kristie is just about right, this works for any triangle not just right triangles
Two sides added together must be bigger than the third side. So as she said 11 is correct.
