I live in NY as well. I unfortunately witnessed the aftermath and saw one of the towers actually falling as well. I have flown and it's fine. You have to move on with your life. I know it can be difficult. Yes things have changed since pre-9/11 but that shouldn't stop you from traveling...even if it means standing on a longer line or arriving earlier at the airport. Whenever security is heightened that is the time to fly b/c everyone is on guard and checking for everything. IMO Go to JFK or LaGuardia and see for yourself millions of people fly everyday and make it to their destinations. If you're still nervous maybe you should seek counseling. A friend of mine was afraid after 9/11 as well and she sought help from a psychiatrist and its helping her tremendously. She actually flew to Spain last year. She still does feel nervous but seeing all of the other people at the airports and on the planes keep her at ease. That helps me as well.

I'm not afraid, but I didn't live through what you did. I say give it another chance, statistically it's safer than traveling in a car.

yes, definitely. Thousands of planes fly out every day. The chances are like 1/a very big #. More people are killed annually by donkeys than plane accidents. Don't worry.

No,I'm not.I'd probably feel the same way,if I had been there to witness that tragic event. You might be experiencing post traumatic stress disorder.Have you talked to your doctor about it?He could help you with that.Good luck.
