My votes for the Goose. (Too bad I'm not a baseball writer)

I meant who's getting elected this year to be inducted next year. Ripken and Gwynn were elected last year.

Goose should get in and I would really like to see Tommy John get in .After all this is baseball not gynastics and points should not be granted for style. Tommy John simply went out there and got the job done.

The only first ballot guy I'd vote for is Tim Raines. Actually alost all the other 14 are deserving. I agree with the Goose, also Blyleven (297 wins), Dawson and Mattingly. I don't care if McGwire ever gets in.

Justice, Wohlers, Dunston, Raines, Concepcion, Blyleven, Murphy, Rice and Tramell are in as far as first ballot goes. McGwire might go second ballot only because of the steriod issue.

My theoretical ballot would be: Blyleven, Gossage, McGwire, Raines.

I could be persuaded to vote for Rice and Dawson.

Raines is the only ballot rookie who deserves to come back in 2009 (unless he gets elected in '08, which I doubt will happen).

Who I think should get in this year:
New:
Robb Nen

Older:
Goose Gossage
Tommy John
Dale Murphy
Jim Rice
Lee Smith

Who I think WILL get in:
Jack Morris

This is a rather weak class. The closers deserve more respect, but baseball writers don't seem to want to acknowledge them or Jim Rice, who treated the media terrible and is paying for it now. Eventual McGwire will get in, but not this year.

the only ones from this list to get any sort of attention will be Raines, Justice, and possibly Morgan all the others will be sent packing. as for the hold overs the ones with the best chance are Goose, Blyleven, Rice and (dare i say) McGwire. but in all honesty i think it is getting harder and harder to get elected to the Hall of Fame and there might not be anyone selected this year.

I do not think anyone will get in this year. Eventually Big Mac and Lee Smith will get in.
I don't know if he will ever get in because he did not play for a big market and was not a power guy but I think Tim Raines should get in. However, it may never happen.
