Well, Germany is big, so from Amsterdam to Dusseldorf it's only about $40, but from Ams. to Munich or Berlin it's over $100 on the train.

and for buses, check

Also look up ryanair, easyjet, germanwings, and airberlin,
all have dot.coms.
Flights are often cheaper if you're going far into Germany.
