Besides the obvious, no hot tubs, no tighty whiteies, is there anything my husband can take (non prescribed) to help INCREASE his sperm count?
I told him to cut down on caffine, drinking and he doesn't do any kind of drugs.. As I know there are a bunch of different things us gals can take that are not prescribed to help us to ovulate.. but what about my man... What else can I do to get the count up.
Also, has anyone else with their other half had low sperm count and conceived? if so, what were your numbers?
THANKS SO MUCH for your answers!!

Hope this helps some! From the link below:

Vitamin C protects sperm from oxidative damage. Supplementing vitamin C improves the quality of sperm in smokers. When sperm stick together (a condition called agglutination), fertility is reduced. Vitamin C reduces sperm agglutination, increasing the fertility of men with this condition. Many doctors of natural medicine recommend 1 gram of vitamin C per day for infertile men, particularly those diagnosed with sperm agglutination.

A lack of zinc can reduce testosterone levels. For men with low testosterone levels, zinc supplementation raises testosterone and also increases fertility. For men with low semen zinc levels, zinc supplements may increase both sperm counts and fertility. Most studies have infertile men take zinc supplements for at least several months. The ideal amount of supplemental zinc remains unknown, but some doctors of natural medicine recommend 25 mg three times per day.

Arginine is an amino acid found in many foods; it is needed to produce sperm. Most research shows that several months of arginine supplementation increases sperm count and quality and also fertility. However, some studies have reported that arginine helps few, if any, infertile men. Nonetheless, many doctors of natural medicine suggest grams of arginine per day for several months to see if it will help infertile men.

Coenzyme Q10 is a nutrient used by the body in the production of energy. While its exact role in the formation of sperm is unknown, there is evidence that as little as 10 mg per day (over a two-week period) will increase sperm count and motility.

Vitamin E deficiency in animals leads to infertility. In a preliminary human trial, 100–200 IU of vitamin E given to each man and woman of infertile couples led to a significant increase in fertility.

Vitamin B12 is needed to maintain fertility. Vitamin B12 injections have increased sperm counts for men with low numbers of sperm. These results have been duplicated in double blind research. Men seeking B12 injections should consult a nutritionally oriented physician.

Carnitine is a substance made in the body and also found in supplements. It appears to be necessary for normal functioning of sperm cells. In studies, supplementing with 3–4 grams per day for four months has helped to normalize sperm motility in men with low sperm quality.

Preliminary research suggests oral SAMe (S-adenosyl-L-methionine) may increase sperm activity in infertile men.

I too had my husband tested recently (poor guys) and we had a few glitches but the dr said the count was nothing to worry about. He Did however give us a few pointers such as the ones you have listed above to raise sperm count. He also suggested a few different vitamins for healthy sperm production inculding. Vitamins A, E, B complex and zinc as well as folic acid (which I thought was only for women but it helps sperm morphology) He also suggested drinking LOTS of water. Before we ever had him tested our Dr suggested having the test two times because some times guys can have an off day and one low test doesn't mean it is a true count. He might want to ahve another one done (i know how they hate these but it may help your worries). If it comes back the same he can always see a urologist and there may be some options for him. Good Luck and I hope this helps!!!

i have read that selenium, zinc and cod liver oil may help, make sure she is using a sperm friendly lube, most lubes immobilize or kill sperm, have sex every other day, no masturbation, sounds like you are on the road to healthy, great job and congrats, another idea if ivf is too expensive and genetics dont bother you is using a sperm donor, i hope you can do it naturally though, another way to boost your chances is to know when she is most fertile, i bought a clearblue fertility monitor and i was miscalculating when i ovulated so me and hub were off on timing, hopefully now we will have better chances, good luck

No smoking, NO caffeine (includes cola), overweight can affect it. The other thing - don't know if it's obvious or not - is to only make love every two days, and for him, that means no other ejaculating between times the two of you are together.
