The guy above obviously has BMW envy. Most naysayers about BMW autos are envious. I didn't believe this until I bought an 07 328i sedan.
I know a married couple who traded up to a 5 series after owning a 06 330i sedan. They had no problems at all but decided to move up to the 5 series.
I really enjoy my BMW. I have owned it since Dec. 06 and have had no problems. Period. Don't let some jealous person talk you out of what car you want to drive.
BMWs are at the top of every reviewer's list for a reason. If they weren't reliable cars, no one would buy them. After all, you do pay a premium price for one.

I just bought a 2007 335i, and before that I had a 2001 330Ci. Over the 6-years I owned the 330Ci, I had few problems with it.
For more analytical data on reliability, you should go to the Consumer Reports website. They have a lot of data on reliability.
All 2006 BMWs come with a 4-year 50,000 mile warranty that will even pay for oil changes, brake pads, and more. So, depending on how many miles the car has on it, you can expect $0 maintenance costs for perhaps 3 more years.

after getting fed up with our GM cars we went with a new '07 328xi, sweet!!!! you can buy the extended warranty(6 years, 100,000 miles) and the only money you will have to spend for the next 6 years or 100,000 will be on tires. even the wiper blades are covered! the way we see it, that will be less than the old car was costing us! the other answerer was right, consumer reports rated it very highly i all categories. you will wonder why you didn't buy one sooner, once you get it! enjoy!

The only thing "certified" is that it is a used car. Don't buy into the whole certified used car crap, it's just a way to get you to pay more money for a car. You should be spending around $28k - 30k for a xi. If you don't need the all wheel drive, you can get a 325i for chaper (around $25k).

Why don't you just throw your money into a gutter? Why would anyone waste money on a car. I'm willing to bet you could buy two, or three cars for the price that you're spending on this. Good thinking.

dont waste your time with any series. if you get a 3 series, make it a M class. 3 series are a joke. motorsport really gives the 3 series the edge.
